The RCS/RI is pleased to announce that they now have a home in a mill in Providence, RI. The site has office space, work areas and a warehouse for storing vintage systems.
We have just receieved our first major donation from the University of Rochester, School of Medicine. It consists of Laboratory Instrumentation Computers such as the LINC-8, PDP-12/30 and PDP-12/40, LAB-K and several PDP-8 and PDP-11 systems and peripherals.
This acquisition required two over three man-days of effort and the procurement of a 26-foot diesel rental truck to transport it from New York.
Important: The comp-hist@cca.org mailing is down. It will probably be moving to a new home. For now we will be exchanging messages using the Bulletin utility on Kronos or using the discussion area on the Ocean State Free-Net.
